About Me
I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Cornerstone University and has been a licensed professional counselor since 2021. I have also worked in the mental health field since 2014 serving in a variety of professional roles. I believe that the pursuit of mental health and wellness is like a journey through the wilderness. There are mountains to climb, and valleys to endure. This can seem overwhelming when done alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you to provide the support and guidance you seek on your journey to mental health and wellness. I am passionate about building a strong therapeutic alliance, creating an atmosphere of personal growth and development, and engaging with your distinctive story in a warm and caring environment. Your therapeutic journey is all about you; therefore, my approach is focusing on your needs. As our therapeutic relationship strengthens and we begin to identify areas in which you would like to grow, I will customize and incorporate theories based on goals that you set.
When we are no longer able to change the situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Viktor Frankl

A therapeutic approach created by to couple's counseling that is based on 40 years of research. It is designed to help couple's identify and modify negative, often destructive, relational patterns with practical steps in order to help the couple move towards one another and build a strong, healthy, lasting relationship.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)* is an innovative, exposure-based treatment using rapid eye movement. ART is very specific, and the approach is more direct, compared to other types of therapies. ART was developed in 2008 by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Laney Rosenzweig. Laney first used ART successfully to treat a client with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) during a one-hour session. Since then, the procedure has been refined to help individuals overcome issues related to Post-Traumatic Stress, physical and sexual abuse, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, and many phobias. Accelerated Resolution Therapy has been clinically demonstrated to resolve PTSD symptoms. ART is recognized as “evidence-based practice” by the Society of Clinical Psychology, Div. 12 of the American Psychological Association (APA).
