Headquarters Mental Wellness (“Headquarters,” “we,” “our”) is a directory that connects people to mental wellness providers in Michigan. We collect the information we need to run the directory and nothing we don't. We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it for ads. Who this applies to

This policy covers anyone who visits our site (hqmentalwellness.com), creates an account, lists a practice or provider profile, sends a message through the site, or contacts us by email or web form.

What we collect

Information you give us directly. When you create an account, list a practice, or send a message, we collect what you provide: name, email address, phone, ZIP code, professional credentials, photos, bios, fees, specializations, and similar profile details. Practice owners may also provide payment information through our payment processor.

Information collected automatically.When you visit the site we collect basic technical information like browser type, device type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP. We use this to keep the site working and understand how it's used.

Cookies.We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the directory — show practice and provider profiles, run search, deliver messages.
  • Maintain accounts — sign-in, password reset, notifications you've opted into.
  • Process subscription payments for practice accounts (via Stripe).
  • Communicate with you about your account, the service, or support requests.
  • Keep the site safe — prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
  • Improve the site based on aggregate usage patterns.

What we share

Public profile content is public.When a practice or provider publishes a listing, the information on that listing — name, photo, bio, fees, contact details, and similar — is visible to anyone on the internet. Don't put anything on a public profile that you don't want public.

Service providers. We use a small number of outside companies to run the site, including:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage
  • Vercel — site hosting
  • Stripe — subscription payments for practices
  • Mapbox — directory maps
  • Resend — transactional email

These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

We don't sell your information.

Your choices

You can update or delete your account from your dashboard at any time. You can opt out of non-essential email by emailing info@hqmentalwellness.com. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated personal information; we may keep aggregate or anonymized records and anything we need to keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Passwords are hashed. Connections use HTTPS. Access to sensitive data is limited to people who need it to operate the service. No online service is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Headquarters is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe we have, email us and we'll remove it.

Crisis disclaimer

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
